Rear Admiral Ikoli was murdered, not suicide – IYC
Ijaw kinsmen of the late Rear Admiral Daniel Ikoli have ruled out suicide as the cause of death of the former member of the Presidential Committee on Arms and Fleet Commander of the Western Naval Command.
The Ijaw Youth Council claimed that Rear Admiral Ikoli, who was found dead in his Apapa home on Monday was murdered in a “sudden, quick and unlawful” manner.
The IYC in a statement by its Spokesperson, Mr Henry Iyalla, said the manner of his death, shortly after his elevation to the rank of Rear Admiral, was suspicious, alleging that there was indication that it is an inside job within the Navy.
